Fire door inspection and repair for healthcare

Fire door compliance you can prove.

NFPA 80 fire door inspections, repairs, fire damper testing, and firestop for hospitals, nursing homes, and surgery centers across Central Florida. Every door gets a permanent record your surveyors can scan.

  • Inspected to NFPA 80, documented door by door
  • Repairs quoted and completed by the same team
  • Local to Central Florida, no out-of-state crews

The problem

Survey coming. Do you know which doors would fail today?

Fire doors get propped, kicked, re-keyed, and patched every day. A closer that stopped latching in March is still a deficiency in November. Most facilities don't find out until a surveyor does.

  • Closers and latching are the most common failures, and the easiest to miss on a walk-through.
  • Gaps, holes, and field modifications can void a door's rating without anyone noticing.
  • Missing records are their own finding. If it isn't documented, it didn't happen.

How it works

Inspect. Repair. Prove it.

One team from first inspection to verified repair, so nothing falls through the cracks between vendors.

Inspect

Every fire door assembly checked against the NFPA 80 annual inspection items. Each door is tagged, photographed, and pinned to its floor and location.

Repair

Deficiencies come with a clear quote. Closers, hinges, latching, gaps, gasketing, and labels are corrected by the same people who found them.

Prove it

Repaired doors are re-inspected and verified. You get a report built for survey day, and every door keeps its full history.

What makes us different

Scan any door. See its whole history.

Every door we inspect gets a durable QR tag. Scan it with any phone and see every inspection, deficiency, repair, and photo since it was tagged. The record doesn't disappear after a year.

  • Show a surveyor a door's full record on the spot
  • Staff can report a problem with a door from the tag
  • History stays with the door, even when tags or doors are replaced

Questions

Questions facility managers ask

How often do fire doors need to be inspected?

NFPA 80 requires fire door assemblies to be inspected and tested at least once a year, with written records kept for the authority having jurisdiction. In healthcare, surveyors from CMS and accrediting organizations check those records.

What does an annual fire door inspection cover?

Each swinging fire door assembly is checked against the NFPA 80 annual inspection items: labels, holes or breaks, glazing, hardware and hinges, missing parts, clearances, the self-closing device, coordinators, latching, auxiliary hardware, field modifications, gasketing, and signage.

What happens when a door fails inspection?

Every deficiency is documented with photos, its location, and the item it fails. You get a clear repair quote, and once the repair is done the door is re-inspected and the fix is added to that door's permanent history.

Will an inspection disrupt patient care?

We plan the work with your facilities team, schedule around patient care areas, and follow your facility's access and infection control requirements.

How long does a fire door inspection take?

It depends on how many doors you have and how easy they are to reach. You get a schedule with the quote, and large campuses can be inspected in phases.

What do you need from us to get started?

Your life safety drawings if you have them, any existing door list or prior report, an estimated door count, and a contact who can arrange access to locked areas.

How do we show a surveyor our doors were inspected?

Your report lists every door by building, floor, and location, deficiencies first. Each door also has a QR tag, so you can scan it in the hallway and show its full inspection and repair history on the spot.

What is the permanent QR door history?

Each door gets a durable QR tag on the frame or hinge edge. Scanning it with any phone shows that door's complete record: every inspection, deficiency, repair, and photo since it was tagged. The records do not expire after a year.

How often do fire dampers need to be tested?

Fire dampers are generally tested one year after installation and then every four years, or every six years in hospitals. We track the next due date for every damper.

Do you replace fire doors?

Yes, for interior fire doors. Exterior door replacements are coordinated through a licensed general contractor partner.

What is the free assessment?

We walk a sample of your fire doors at no cost and show you, with photos, the kinds of issues a surveyor is most likely to find. Then we quote your annual inspection and any repairs.

What areas do you serve?

Healthcare facilities across Central Florida, including Polk, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Orange, and Osceola counties. We're based in Lakeland.

When is your next annual inspection due?

Tell us your due date. We'll reach out ahead of it and get you scheduled, with no last-minute scramble.
